I have over 11 years of experience providing excellent child care, early childhood development support, and education. I recently accepted a 2/3 position in Oakland. I am open to being contacted for date nights however.
In July, I completed a position with a family in Berkeley caring for their now 10-month-old girl who I have been with full time since January. My previous position was working with an infant in the Oakland Hills for 3.5 days a week in 2014. I cared for her from 5.5 months to 16 months. I adore her and she thrived and grew by leaps and bounds in her first year. Before this, I was working with a 4-year-old girl full-time in San Francisco, from 2012-2013, and before that I completed a year long contract with a family, from September 2011 to September 2012. I cared for their 5-year-old boy 4 days and their 3-year-old boy as well 1 day a week. Since 2010, I have provided child care for over 11 families, ranging from filling short-term needs to full-time with children aged from 4 months up to 5 years old. I have some Early Childhood Development education through my BA in Psychology and completed an online course on preschoolers. I have been doing my own research on attachment theory, positive discipline practices and the Waldorf education philosophy, and the importance of nature based exploration and play. I am first aid certified in 2012 and will be reviewing this course again soon. I am passionate about supporting young children in holistic and natural approaches to supporting their growth, development, and education.

About a month after I returned to work, my wife was caring for our (nearly 4 month old) twin girls on her own, but they required more attention than one person could give. Eve came to our rescue as a mothers helper and nanny.
She immediately recognized the differences between the girls, taking note of their likes and dislikes. She was familiar with the app we used to log important information (Baby Connect). She even introduced us to app features that allowed us recognize and anticipate various changes as the girls navigated through an epic growth spurt.
We always looked forward to the days that Eve would come to help with the girls. She was punctual and would offer to stay late as needed. Her presence alone gave my wife the time and peace of mind she needed as she began preparing to return to work herself.
Eve's personality is refreshing: honest and forthcoming. Her educational background and current studies are fascinating, my wife truly enjoyed their conversations and would often mention learning something new each day from her. And of course, our twins absolutely adore Eve.
My wife and I felt confident and comfortable leaving Eve in charge of the girls' care and would highly recommend her as a childcare professional.
