Etta is a gem!  Etta and I taught together in an urban public school system with a diverse group of preschool students.  She is consistent, kind and knowledgeable.  Our students loved her greatly due to her firm soft spoken manner.  She handled challenging behaviors with compassion and respect.  Etta formed relationships with the children and adults she worked with.  She is a learner and listener with a great sense of sharing her ideas when feed back is sought or needed. Children have a delightful time with Etta. She is attentive to the needs of the children. She educates the children through playful activities. She gives attention to details and provides individualized play and learning, specific to the developmental needs of the child. She is professional, kindhearted, and personable.

We found Etta when our oldest was 4 months old and I was heading back to work. We could have never known that we had just won the jackpot when it came to caregivers. We still stay in touch years later, and consider her part of our family. She is amazing with children; so patient, kind, and caring. Very easy to work and communicate with when it comes to the most important little people in your life.

Etta provided in-home care for my daughter, E, for several years. Etta is meticulous, with an eye for details and a devotion to the well-being of children, which I am sure you will feel immediately. She is fun-loving and playful, creating spontaneous games that kept E engaged. Etta has never failed to impress me with her ability to adapt to E.'s needs. She has the terrific ability to draw on her own experience and observations to develop creative approaches to the various developmental stages my child was in at that time. In addition to the child care she provided, Etta prepared healthy meals for E. She also helped with household and cleaning tasks, which proved a tremendous help to me. Among her strengths are her punctuality and efficiency. I simply cannot understand how she gets so many things done in such a short time. She is also very thoughtful, always remembering important dates and bringing E cards, gifts, and notes of encouragement.

Etta has always surpassed my expectations while working with our children! She knows what she is doing and she possesses a great passion for it.  I have learned so much about myself and my patience when it comes to my children all from her working with us. I now feel I am a better parent from the tools and methods I have witnessed from her as well as what she has taught me. Not to mention my kids absolutely LOVE her!!!! They always ask about her and whenever she is with us they don't want her to leave which warms my hurt so much! I would definitely recommend Etta to anyone looking for care! She will certainly not disappoint!

Etta is extremely passionate about her work. She has an ability to reach children of all ages transferring knowledge. Her love for her job is apparent. I would highly recommend this awesome educator.
