About Esther

Esther is remarkably patient and long-suffering. I'm the live-in case manager for a patient with rapidly progressing cancer, and I've seen Esther deal with my patient's severe cognitive and mood changes, as well as escalating physical needs, with grace and poise. She consistently treated my patient with dignity, even in high stress situations, and respected my patient's desire to have as much autonomy as possible. She's very clean and tidy, able to prepare meals and drive to appointments and outings. When my patient didn't want to be alone with her thoughts, Esther would sit and talk with her endlessly. Esther knows how to do transfers, used a female Purewick, do in-bed diaper changes and bed baths, and administer enemas. She organized and administered medications, including chemotherapy pills safely. The household has 3 dogs, and she got on well with all of them. We are all very sad to lose her.
