About Esperanza

I go by the english version of my name, 'Hope'!! I'm passionate about helping students unlock their full potential. With two years of experience, I focus on building confidence and fostering a love for learning. I empower students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I actively listen to students and observe their interactions with new material. I vary my teaching strategies and celebrate small successes. Communication is essential for understanding student needs, so I prioritize clear expectations. I have experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504). I tutor Math, English, Art, Music & Drama, and Dance for elementary, middle, and high school students. I tutor in-person and online. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding aspect of tutoring. I have a car and am comfortable with pets. I'd love to help you or your student succeed!
