About Erin

I'm a former homeschooling of Mom of 6 - 6 a who I taught through eighth grade before they transition into public and private schools. I completed all coursework in the Master's of Education program at the University of Oregon and about half of my student teaching before a pandemic-era divorce derailed the final leg. I Specialize in connecting with students, identifying what motivates them and helping them set goals that turn effort into results. Every learner is different, and I tailor my approach accordingly. I'm confident teaching all core subjects through eighth grade and can tutor English, essay writing, communication and in history beyond that. I also am an accomplished pianist and taught beginners for many decades while also directing a children's choir. I have a tried and true system for teaching music reading. I have a BA in English with a minor in history.
