About Erika

*Extremely Covid-cautious* Having grown up with a nanny who is very dear to me even in my adult years, I am extremely motivated to create the same sense of fun and excitement for the children I care for. The majority of my experience and knowledge has come from hands-on learning over many years, but for the past two I have learned about and steadily adopted the Montessori method, primarily the teachings of Simone Davies in her book "The Montessori Toddler." I have also learned about the Montessori method through my year serving as the Children and Youth Minister at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Acton. As a nanny I believe my role is to help raise confident, bright, responsible, emotionally aware and most importantly HAPPY children, and to lighten the burden of household chores so that parents can fully enjoy every moment of free time with their kids. I pride myself on my ability to relate to and speak to children of all ages with dignity and respect, the same way I treat my peers.
