About Erika

Hi, I'm Erika! I hold an M. S. in Education, a California special education credential, and Dyslexia reading certifications. I have nearly 20 years of experience in education, including 11 years as a credentialed school teacher. During the school year, I teach 7th and 8th-grade English in both general and special education settings. Beyond the public sector, I've supported over 20 homeschool families and run enriching summer reading camps. I am certified in Orton-Gillingham (Level 1) and Sonday, regularly using these data-based principles to lead targeted reading interventions. I find tutoring to be so much fun, as I love the one-on-one connection with learners; especially helping them achieve what they once thought was impossible. My goal during the summer is to help students maintain their hard-earned skills and continue growing in confidence, reading, and writing. Looking forward to meeting your family!
