I spent a total of 9 1/2 months helping my sister postpartum, which included managing the house & keeping it running, cooking, cleaning, playing and taking care of the children, as well as babysitting occasionally and weekly for various families. This included mealtimes, helping them get ready both for the day and bedtimes, overnights, and drop-off/pick-up from school. I did a part-time nanny job caring for two children in the mornings before taking care of a 7-year-old child with special needs over this past summer.
