About Em

Hello! My name is Em (ey/em/eir). I am a positive, hardworking individual with a strong interest in working with children. I have approximately 10 years of childcare experience and my current career goal is to get a Master's degree in social work where I can work with individuals with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses that are also within the LGBTQ+ community. I love to focus on opportunities that emphasize on empowerment, which is why I worked as an assistant teacher at a preschool for three years and I realized that I love to work with children within that age group. I graduated from University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and I plan to use that focus to support children, adolescents and young adults who may be struggling to find their identities and just want to feel empowered and supported. I just started my internship as a therapist at the Children's Center and I am looking forward to all the opportunities to help support children.
