About Emma

I like tutoring because I love helping students understand how and why we write and study language and literature and how to use those skills across disciplines and in the real world! I have been tutoring since high school, helping my classmates with their writing. I even started a French club in my neighborhood, educating kids in my area in the language and culture. I also worked in my university's writing center! In my spare time, I like to read, read, and did I mention read? Cliche I know, but when I say it's my passion I truly mean it. I also love to crochet, knit, and paint! One thing you should know about me is that I will be the students number 1 advocate. Education is my greatest love and there is nothing I won't do for a student. My skills are asking leading questions, making sure that I am not giving the answers, but that we are looking for them together. Additionally I am very patient and will explain concepts as many times and in as many different ways as needed.
