About Emma Jean

Hi! My name is Emma, and I genuinely love working with children and getting to build a relationship with each child as they become comfortable with me. I'm patient, caring, dependable, and love being silly and having fun while also being someone kids feel safe coming to for help or comfort. I have experience with both babysitting and working as a paraeducator, including one-on-one support with a kindergarten student with an IEP, classroom support, lunch, and recess. These experiences have taught me patience, positive reinforcement, redirection, and how important it is to understand each child's individual needs. I enjoy imaginative play, outdoor activities, games, reading, and making everyday activities fun. I'm comfortable following each family's routines, rules, and parenting style, and I value open communication with parents. Most importantly, I want the children I care for to feel safe, supported, understood, and excited to spend time with me!
