About Emma

I've been working with children for over 10 years. I studied Elementary Education at Purdue University with a minor in Global Studies. I studied Abroad in Austria, Germany, and Honduras and have taught in all of those locations. After graduating, I taught third and fourth grade for 3 years. I led an inclusion classroom, developed interdisciplinary units, and earned recognition for creativity and excellence in teaching, including the Golden Apple Award and contributing to our school's National Blue Ribbon status. I supported a diverse range of learners--including those with IEPs, executive function challenges, and diverse linguistic or cultural backgrounds--while managing progress monitoring, parent communication, and curriculum creation. I decided to then attend Columbia University to study Neuroscience and Education, which is what brought me to NYC. I graduated May 2024 and have been developing curriculum since then. I am also a Kindergarten assessor for a private school in NYC.
