About Emily

I'd describe my personality as passionate, hardworking, and prepared I like tutoring because it gives me an opportunity to help other students grow in their overall learning especially when they are struggling in specific areas. Because I am currently in the process of gaining a teaching license, I want to use my education to help guide students through using strategies that will engage them in their learning such as active/collaborative learning, differentiation, etc. I'm looking for a job that allows me to practice my skills and gain experience needed to use the skills I have learned in teaching students. In my spare time, I like to be active in going outside and going on runs/walks for exercise My skills include providing active listening, questioning techniques, and assessment/feedback
