About Emily

I would enthusiastically recommend Emily - she has been our nanny for the last five months, watching our 12, 6 and 3 year-old. Emily manages a wide range of responsibilities with competence and grace. She drives the children to and from activities, prepares their meals, and helps them maintain tidy rooms—not by doing the work for them, but by working with them, which we really appreciate. She also ensures that the house is picked up at the end of the day, never leaving behind a mess from the day’s play or activities. One of the things we value most about Emily is her communication. She provides thoughtful updates on the day’s events, whether it’s something a child said, a behavior that might need follow-up, or an interaction with another child that we should be aware of. She takes direction extremely well and follows through consistently. Emily is remarkably flexible and reliable. She handles last-minute schedule changes—early starts, late finishes, extra pickups, or errands—with a calm and positive attitude. There’s no drama. She is steady, even-keeled, and firm when needed, which is particularly important with our sometimes-spirited crew. She never raises her voice and calmly reinforces expectations with consistency and care. Perhaps most notably, Emily is unfailingly punctual—always early, never late—and she communicates any time-off requests well in advance. Her consistency and dependability have made her an incredible asset to our family, and we are so grateful for the time we’ve had with her.
