About Emily

Hi! I'm Emily, an educator who loves helping kids build confidence and skills in their learning. I currently work as a kindergarten paraprofessional at a public elementary school, where I support a full classroom and give targeted one-on-one help to students who need extra practice. I'm also pursuing my M. Ed. in Elementary Education, so I spend a lot of time thinking about how children actually learn and how to meet each student where they are. I focus on early literacy, foundational math, reading comprehension, and study habits, and I'm a big believer in hands-on, learn by doing approaches rather than rote drilling. My goal is for a student to leave each session feeling a little more capable than when they started. I'm patient, encouraging, and good at turning tricky concepts into something approachable. Whether a student needs to catch up, stay on track, or just rebuild some confidence, I'd love to help.
