About Emily

I've known Emily since she was born! Our families have been friends since the '70s. More recently, though, Emily and I have worked for the same family and have gotten to know each other better, personally. I've been a nanny for 11 years and have cared for one family/little girl for the past 5 years, since the little girl's birth. As part of my job, I am responsible for finding babysitters when I am not available for weekend or evening care. Emily has filled that role. She's been a great fill-in. She has taken care of my charge/the little girl since she was about 1 1/2 years old. Emily is reliable, thorough and loving. She responds to emails and text messages promptly and she shows up on time. Her interaction with children is intuitive and natural; she notices subtle differences in child development and milestones. Most importantly, the little girl that we both care for loves Emily and looks forward to the babysitting dates that they have together. We miss Emily now that she's away at college, but we love that she stays in touch and we try to have her babysit when she's home on short breaks! I recommend Emily as a lifelong friend, as the middle-person for babysitting (hiring, following up, training, etc.) and as a nanny.
