About Emily

Hi there! My name is Emily and I work full-time as a child and adolescent and family therapist. My experience as a therapist allows me to bring a relational and trauma-informed approach to my care. I specialize in trauma-related disorders, as well as ADHD. I embrace child-directed play as a way for kids to learn to express their emotions, build coping skills and self-esteem. I love working with kids! In high school, I worked as a nanny, and also for a nonprofit organization proving care to children and adolescents w/ severe intellectual and physical disabilities. I nannied throughout undergrad and graduate school. I have a wide range of experience working with newborns, toddlers, children and adolescents. I follow the parents' and child's lead to individualize care to fit the child's interests. check in with parents around their household expectations for their children, so we're on the same page. I'm CPR certified and have a car. I speak English and Spanish. I hope to connect!
