About Emily

I am in a two-year occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program at Thomas Jefferson University, East Falls. I have been in the mother's helper/babysitter/nannying field since I was nine, and I have experience with ages 0-14 years old. I think forming an individual relationship with each child is super important. It allows me to get to know them and help them best succeed at whatever their mind is formulating. By the time June starts, I will have been through pediatrics and early childhood development. I will also have experience in the field of occupational therapy. I am currently assigned to fieldwork at The Barn in Spring Brook Farm if you want to look it up! I will be in the clinical program working one-on-one. I am currently nannying an 18-month-old who is non-verbal. I am learning to sign and understand how to communicate with her. For older children, I encourage them to be creative with the hands-on approach. I hope you will consider me for your family!
