About Emily

I recently completed studying in an occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program and transitioned into the BS Health Sciences program at Thomas Jefferson University. My overall goal is to become an occupational therapist (OT). I have a significant amount of experience in early childhood development from my time in the OTA program along with experience as a mother's helper/babysitter/nannying field since I was 9. I have experience with ages 0-14 years old. I have worked in school-base, community, preschool and infantry all along the spectrum. I think forming an individual relationship with each child is important. It helps me understand their personalities and needs, and encourage them to have confidence in themselves. I believe on a hands on approach as it is important in development. I find it crucial to form a solid foundation with the parents to create a trusting relationship.
