About Emily

I've worked as a mother's helper, babysitter, and nanny since I was nine, with children ages 0-14 in home, preschool, school, and community settings. I'm currently splitting my time between Spring Garden near Center City Philadelphia and Wilmington, and I'm available in both areas. I'm finishing my BS in Health Science at Thomas Jefferson University and applying to occupational therapy doctorate programs, after starting Jefferson's OTA program and transferring so I could practice at the therapist level. Forming an individual relationship with each child is the most important part of this work to me. Knowing how a child thinks and what they're proud of is what lets me actually help them succeed. I have significant experience in early childhood, especially 0-2, and a passion for helping children reach their developmental milestones. With preschoolers through teens, I encourage creativity through a hands-on approach in a safe, nurturing environment. BLS certified and fingerprinted.
