About Emily

Unlocking a student's unique potential through personalized support is the cornerstone of what brings me to tutoring! I believe that every student has the potential to not only suceed, but thrive in a supportive and personalized learning environment. I have over 10 years of professional experience working with children, including elementary school classrooms, camp settings, and private art lessons. I hold a graduate degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania, and am a fine artist myself. I prioritize creating an engaging, patient environment where I break complex concepts into manageable "bite sized" wins to foster connection to material and build momentum. I am comfortable with pets and bring a supportive, positive energy to every session. I truly look forward to helping your kiddo gain confidence, curiosity, and excitement towards reaching their goals!
