About Emily

Hi! I'm Emily - I've cared for kids since I was a teenager, from babysitting to tutoring in grad school. These days I spend a lot of time with my cousin's four kids (newborn to age 6), so I'm just as comfortable changing a diaper as helping a6-year-old sound out a tricky word. I'm CPR/First Aid certified. I love reading with kids and helping them learn, plus Legos, puzzles, origami, the playground, the pool, or the science museum. I can help with any kind of homework, and have extensive tutoring experience in high school math, science, and SAT prep. I balance respecting kids' independence with being warm but firm about rules, so bedtime and screen-time limits stick. I'm also happy to help with light housework or errands, and have a spotless driving record for school pickups or activities. Flexible for daytime or evening care, and happy to share references.
