About Emily

Middle school students are my favorite age group to work with. I am bilingual in Spanish and English. I'd describe my personality as caring, personable, patient I like tutoring because I believe it is valuable to learn skills for life. I'm looking for a job that helps individuals gain both skills and confidence. I started tutoring when I was in college in 2018. I have worked with high school students, taught parent and me classes, and older individuals. In my spare time I like to read. I am currently reading a book by Isabel Allende. I also take daily walks in the evenings. I teach cooking classes, and love to make baked goods. One thing you should know about me is I can spend an entire Saturday working on a puzzle. My skills include building individual confidence, using peoples strengths to help them learn, and making learning fun.
