About Emily

I've always had a passion and way with children. I come from a big family and when it comes to childcare it feels like second nature. I don't have official, paid experience, but I've been changing diapers, helping with homework, and watching kids for years. I've also had the opportunity to have more than just family experience! I've taken child development courses in high-school where I learned of both the physical and psychological development of young children as well as mind nurturing activities to emotionally healthy modes of encouraging their growth as a person. I'm also currently studying psychology at the University of Utah and have background knowledge on developmental as well as cognitive psychology that can become useful when it comes to tutoring or guiding behaviors. I also had the great opportunity of working as a reading tutor for the Bennion Center at the U, working with elements students on their reading, comprehension, and phonics skills.
