Hi! My name is Emily, and I am trained in classical voice/opera. I have taught voice lessons for 10+ years and incorporated music theory/history lessons in my teaching. I'm eager to help you achieve your goals! My teaching philosophy centers on building confidence and fostering a love for learning. I create an engaging, supportive, and patient learning environment. Through open communication, I adapt my methods to suit your individual learning style. I keep students motivated by celebrating small successes and encouraging curiosity. I have one year of experience and a graduate degree. Communication builds trust, so I emphasize it to create a collaborative environment. Seeing a student's confidence grow is the most rewarding aspect of tutoring. I can tutor high school, adult, and college students in music and drama, and musical instruments, at various locations.
