I have experience with all ages, but I primarily focus on newborns, infants, and toddlers. I specialize in twins and nanny shares! I have experience with scheduling, sleep training, baby led weaning, and other tips and tricks for the first year of life, many of which I learned in a newborn care specialist course! I practice gentle childcare techniques including proper communication, validation, and giving freedom within limits. My calm and patient nature allows for easier navigation of the ever changing experience of childcare! I love introducing little ones to music, diverse books, and age appropriate sensory and craft activities. I also use sign language to give babies the tools for communication before they are able to speak! Emily has cared for my twins 20-27 hours per week since they were six weeks old. They are now 7 months, and we would love for her to continue if we were not moving out of state. The babies were born at 34 weeks, which made looking after them particularly challenging, but under her care they are thriving. Emily is responsible, loving, and knowledgeable, frequently researching topics related to their care. Bonus: she must know at least 100 nursery songs by heart and has a beautiful singing voice! Her confidence with my twins has helped me feel less anxious as I settle in to being a new mother. Emily has been very conscientious about Covid prevention. Currently Emily is taking an on-line newborn care specialist course to enhance her skills. I heartily recommend her.
