About Emily

We were very lucky to have Em as our son’s nanny from ages 2-12 months. She was his first caregiver outside of us - his parents. In a word, Em was fantastic. As a first time Mom, I was nervous about returning to work and having to trust and rely on someone new to care of our baby and keep him safe, healthy and content. Em immediately impressed me with her calm demeanor, positive outlook, happy energy and clear affection for our son. She has a great sense of play and fun balanced with responsibility and routine. Beyond the obvious caregiving things like bottle feeding, and later solid food prep, and diapering, changing, following our schedule and sleep training protocol and keeping him safe, Em was an ideal person for our son to spend his days with. She took our son for countless walks, no matter the weather, and introduced him to new places, spaces and people. She read dozens of books to him and truly engaged him with his toys daily. My husband and I were so happy with how much time they spent reading and being outside everyday. She also took him to various age-appropriate enrichment classes at the library and helped him with socialization. Em also did several overnights with our son and we felt entirely confident in leaving him with her. Any family would be lucky to have Em become a part of their own as a caregiver and as a friend, and we wholeheartedly recommend her.
