About Elvira

Teaching isn't what I do, it's who I am. I enjoy working with children of all ages and I believe building self esteem is crucial to academic success. I am a Freehold Township retired teacher assistant of 25 years. I tutor several children in various content areas during the school year, run summer small groups with a colleague and provide summer refresher tutoring to avoid regression and to provide enrichment. Currently, I am available on Mondays and Fridays all day, and Tuesday-Thursday afternoons as I watch my grandson until 4:00 p.m. I am very familiar with the curriculum and thoroughly enjoy the one on one experience with my students. In addition, I have experience working with children with learning disabilities, behavior issues, and social skill deficiencies. References can be furnished upon request.
