About Elsa

Hello, my name is Elsa (she/her)! I am currently an instructional assistant within the special education department at a middle school within Seattle Public Schools! While I have experience with a variety of ages, I love working with toddlers-elementary aged children. I have a strong background working with tweens/teens with a variety of disabilities. I have a passion for outdoor/experiential education and have worked as a backpacking guide, forest school teacher, and this past summer as the program assistant for a nonprofit helping make the outdoors more accessible for people of color. Certifications/trainings: Wilderness First Aid and CPR/AED, non-violent communication, and crisis prevention/intervention/de-escalation. I would describe myself as patient, empathetic, and thoughtful! In my free time I love to read, sing, bake, and hike. My favorite activities to do with kids are reading, dancing/singing, and cooking. I love sharing my love of nature with the kids I work with!
