About elly

I began working with kids at 13. As one of the youngest in a big family, I have several older siblings who started having children in 2015. I now have four nieces and a nephew, and I've always been close with my sisters, which helped me develop a deep love for caring for children. In 2022, during my senior year of high school, my sister and her two daughters moved in with us. I helped care for them daily by picking them up, feeding them, helping with homework, and keeping a routine that benefitted us all. Though they've since moved out, I still babysit from time to time. I'm currently a student at Central Piedmont Community College and will be transferring to UNC Charlotte in spring 2026 to major in elementary education. On top of school, I also work part-time at Aldi. Babysitting continues to give me hands-on experience with children of different ages and personalities, as well as experience that directly supports my growth as a future teacher.
