My largest experience with senior care has to do when I was a server at a senior care facility in Columbia, Missouri, at the Westbury. Although I was not in charge of care activites, I worked directly with all the residents, interacted with them often, and came to learn more and more about them through this way. Here, I was able to get CPR certified and served and delivered food, and participated in weekly training designed for senior care. For about 6 months, also when my grandfather was in an automobile accident and left in a wheel chair, I was heavily involved in his care. This included toileting, food preparation, exercising, mobility assistance, and watching him as he also had a TBI.
