Ellen is truly wonderful with children. She is a nanny for a friend's two boys and helps occasionally with our 4-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son. She is kind, gentle, fun, attentive, and very natural with children. She also has an almost magical ability to get children to listen to her. She took care of my son when he was an infant and picked up on the nuances of his naps and feedings right away. My daughter, who is very shy and doesn't warm up to babysitters easily, adores Ellen and is always excited to see her. Ellen is also a total professional. She's always punctual -- usually early -- great at communicating with my husband and me, totally reliable, and hard working. The house is always tidy and everybody is happy and calm when we get home. I've interacted with many babysitters and nannies for my family as well as many other families, and Ellen is among the very, very best.
