About Ella

I like working with kids because they have an innocence and joy for life many people in the adult world lose. They look up to caregivers like teachers, coaches, counselors etc.. as role models and its important to have someone in their daily lives other than their parents that they can relate to, learn from and talk to. I'm looking for a job that brings me joy. A job with a family that cares about their children's success and growth. I started working with kids when I was 16 babysitting kids around my neighborhood. Then I became a summer camp counselor for about 4 years. In college I worked with grades k-8 for 2 months as a substitute teacher at my old school district. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my friends, visit new places, listen to music, draw/paint/ other crafts, read about pop culture and fashion. My skills include coming up with fun activities to do in free time, helping with homework and staying organized on schedule, prepping meals and snacks.
