About Elexis

As the eldest daughter of 7 siblings I've worked with the youth since my early days. During my teenage years I looked after friends' and family's children from 1 child up to small parties! During my adult years: - 2 years as a graduate teacher assistant - 4 years as a day camp counselor for children aged 7-17 - 1 year as an overnight camp counselor for children aged 8-16 - 1 year as a middle school academic tutor - 1 year as a first grade teacher - 1 year as a full time nanny for a family of 3 children (9m, 7y, and 10y) - 10+ gigs w/ newborns to toddler I'd describe my personality as down to earth, humorous, and full of life. I like working with kids because they are absolutely hilarious. I'm looking for a job that will be open to me being a part of their children's village! In my spare time, I like to learn new languages. I'm currently learning Spanish. One thing you should know about me is that I love trying new foods with kids (inside their diet restrictions, of course).
