I've been an occupational therapist for 5 years and love working with children and adults. While the majority of my experience is people (children AND adults) who have had neurological injuries or illnesses (stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, MS, Parkinson's Disease, cancer, etc.), I am also very comfortable and familiar with caring for children with developmental delays, congenital illnesses, Autism and related disorders, and sensory processing disorders. I have worked at a well-known rehabilitation hospital in the area and am very comfortable caring for someone with complex medical issues. I love being an occupational therapist because the people I work with give me a renewed sense of energy, and remind me that often it's the little things in life that make the biggest difference. I'm open to caring for either children or adults in any type of care-giving position; I would just like to supplement my income as an occupational therapist for the summer and possibly longer.
