I strive to create an engaging, supportive, and patient environment when tutoring. I empower students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills for long-term success. I actively listen to students and observe their initial interactions with new material. I vary my teaching strategies, encourage open communication, celebrate small successes, and provide consistent positive reinforcement. I encourage curiosity through interactive discussions. Communication builds trust and a collaborative environment. Regular updates help parents stay informed and reinforce learning at home. The most rewarding aspect is seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills. I am currently pursuing my teaching degree in history with an endorsement in english and special education.
