About Elizabeth

There is something about working with elders that often lights up my being! I discovered this love after working for 3 years as a one-on-one care companion for elders with dementia at a senior living in Colorado. I offered help with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, meal prep and going out to meals, transportation, making sure they had social engagement) as well as company. I developed many beautiful friendships with my clients and their family during this time. Please note that I do not hold a nursing degree. I'm passionate about end of life care. I received my certification as an End of Life Doula from Conscious Dying Institute in 2020 and am currently trained as a volunteer at the Center for Conscious Living & Dying in Swannanoa. I also have a master's in mental health counseling. I'm interested in working with individuals near of end of life but not necessarily in the active dying process. I'm engaging, thoughtful, playful.
