About Elizabeth

Greetings; I grew up in a large family as the eldest of 8 and learned from a very young age how to care for others. I became a nurse and have worked for 29 years with specialties in wound care/cardiac/diabetes/surgical and love what I do but have become frustrated with how healthcare has become focused on money and not the care of the person. I decided to reduce my professional hours and search for a position in the community caring for people. I have a heart for the older generation with a memory impairment focus. I enjoy spending time with people- getting to know them- their likes/dislikes, engaging them in activities, promoting independence as much as able. I prefer also assisting with housekeeping, cooking, laundry. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing if I am able to help meet your needs.
