About Elijah

My volunteer experience includes counseling for an after-school boys and girls program. During this time, I secured and locked the computer labs and library, organized games for the members, and passed out food. I also had another volunteering position at EEC(Extended Child Care) for an Elementary. Here, I had to make sure the kids were safe, take care of all garbage, clean our courtyard, and organize snacks for the kids. For payed positions, I have been working summer and winter basketball camps for NBBA(North Bay Basketball Association) for 4 years. In camp, we train a range of kindergarteners-8th graders. As a skills and team coach I must teach them on the importance of teamwork and self betterment. A regular day at camp will consist of me organizing games, officiating, and organizing food for the campers. In these camps I have learned the importance of patience and problem solving, as well as clear communication and responsibility.
