Hi! My name is Elena and I'm a sophomore majoring in psychology at Towson University. I took a break from nannying this semester after moving back to school, but feel ready to jump back into it! I have four years of experience babysitting kids from my neighborhood in Silver Spring, Maryland to transitioning to being a part time nanny to families. My most recent jobs include taking care of a rambunctious 4 and 5 years old during summer and fall semester of this school year and being a nanny and housekeeper for a 16 months old and 3 years old the year before. The last nanny job I had was extremely rewarding since I taught the 4 years old how to read, and put together daily lesson plans for him. I consider myself a keen listener and a present person, which are essential qualities when caring for kids. I also see the importance of limiting screen time and emphasize playing outside, creating art, making up imaginary games, etc. I look forward to meeting you!

Elena is amazing with young children and a delight to know. We would be excited to have the opportunity to hire her again. Our grandchildren and their parents visited us for a month over the holidays last Christmas. The girls were ages 4 and 18 months. We loved being with them and their mom and dad, but had not anticipated how tiring-no, exhausting-it would be to play with, feed and take care of them all day. And we had a 4:2 ratio of adults to children! When my daughter suggested we look for a nanny-type young person to be with them a few hours a day so that we could get other things done or just rest, we agreed enthusiastically. Lucky us, we found Elena-and she was a godsend. Elena is quiet, graceful, and playful with the children. She Could manage both of them at the same time with ease including playing, eating, bath time, and bedtime. She avoided power struggles, managed conflict magically, and related to both of them lovingly and playfully. Recommend her w/o reservation!
