I write a journal of the child's daily routines and progress. Prefer outings and physical exercises instead of TV. I can't say enough good things about Lena. She has been our daughter's nanny for almost 2 years and I don't know what we would have done without her. She is an amazing cook and always thinking of new creative things to make that are healthy and made from clean ingredients. She also has helped a lot around the house, doing dishes, our daughter's laundry (she is an amazing folder) and keeping my plants alive (which wasn't an expectation but she goes above and beyond). But most of all, she has helped so much with our daughter's development. She taught her how to roll over at a young age, helped with potty training, taught her how to do things safely like go up and down the stairs or close doors, expanded her vocabulary, and was constantly thinking of new things she could expose her to. She was also willing to take her to/from gymnastics when we wanted to send her. Our daughter has always loved her and so have we! One day a week we were also doing a nanny share where our daughter spent time at Lena's house with another boy. Lena's house was great, with a room dedicated to the children with lots of toys and an area where they could nap. It was clean and well-kept. She also had so many creative ideas of items they could play with, like putting tape in the backyard between two trees and sticking items on it that the kids could then take off and put back on to work on their motor skills. She also lives walking distance to a really nice park the kids loved going to. I had no qualms about sending our daughter to her house and knew she would be well taken care of. To sum it up, Lena has been amazing and anyone would be lucky to have her as their caregiver!
