I have a total of 3 years of hands on experience in caring for the sick and elderly. I have 2 years of experience in being a live-in caregiver and 1 year experience as a preferred home health care worker. I am very passionate about caring for people and I take great pride in completing my job quickly and efficiently and making someone happy in the process. I possess strong oral communication skills along with excellent customer service skills. I am experienced in cooking and cleaning for a client, being on call 24/7 and standing and walking for hours at a time. I am familiar with bathing, grooming, feeding and dressing clients, as well as accompanying them to doctor and hospital visits. On some occasions I have been required to learn basic medical procedures in order to properly treat and dress wounds and drain catheters. I have experience in lifting clients that weigh an excess of 200 lbs to and from the restroom and turning them in order to prevent bedsores and dress wounds. I am a quick learner, easy to train, and work well unsupervised and can easily and quickly pass a background check.
