About Dorothy

Hi! My name is Dorothy. I am currently a junior at Indiana University in Bloomington. I am majoring in international studies and French. I have four years of tutoring experience. Throughout my high school career and now as a university student, I have always taken a particular interest in French. I have completed French courses covering a variety of subjects such as literature, grammar, and creative writing. The summer of 2023, I participated in the IU Honors Program in Foreign Language. I lived in France for six weeks with a host family. While there, my French skills greatly improved. Over the past 10 months, I have lived in Aix-en-Provence France as a student. I am able to read novels, have complex conversations, and write analytic essays completely in French. My approach to tutoring involves creative yet effective methods. I can assure all parents that if I have the chance to work with your child, I will do everything in my power to see them succeed.
