I have over 35 years of caregiving experience, including raising five children-three with additional needs. Supporting individuals with disabilities has been a central part of my life since my early teens. I have extensive experience caring for individuals with autism and complex needs, including those who are non-verbal and have sensory impairments. I have supported a young adult who is autistic, visually and hearing impaired for 5 years, and a 20-year-old with non-verbal autism for 7 years. I am experienced in creating structured routines, supporting communication, assisting with personal care, and planning activities at home and in the community. I am confident working independently and take full responsibility for daily care. I am reliable, patient, and genuinely caring, and I build strong, trusting relationships with families. Donna is a caring and compassionate woman I hired to care for my special needs nonverbal teenager. I could not have wished for anyone better! She is very kind and loving, and very professional---always wanting information on how to best care for my son and documenting his needs and schedule. When she is with him, I know he is in responsible hands, and I can continue my job successfully. She has lots of experience in the care field, and is a mom herself. Highly recommend!
