About Don

I have several years of tutoring and mentoring experience, supported by my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Social Work, Communication, and Sociology. During my senior year of college, I worked through my university to support six adults with exceptionalities, helping them build independence, life skills, and academic confidence through structured, individualized support. I also served as a Building Substitute Teacher, managing classrooms, implementing lesson plans, and adapting instruction to meet diverse academic and behavioral needs. I am skilled at breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and adjusting to different learning styles. I have provided support in reading, writing, study skills, and organization. My focus is not only academic improvement, but strengthening confidence, accountability, and measurable progress in every learner I work with.
