About Dina

My name is Dina, and I'm new-ish to the Los Angeles area. I have an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, so I'm great with kids that enjoy creativity. I'm currently a working artist. I'm a former teacher, and I've held positions with wonderful families that I stayed with for many years. I moved to LA after the Lahaina wildfire on Maui changed the course of my life. I lived there for about 10 years, and owned 2 successful businesses. Prior to that, I traveled the world fairly extensively working as a Scuba guide and backpacking in the mountains. Things I love to do with kids; be outside, make crafts, build forts, create games, obstacle courses, age appropriate science and nature learning (they won't know they are learning- all fun stuff!), help with homework, make food fun... read books, sing songs, have dance parties, ride bikes (if allowed!), explore places (also if allowed).
