About Desiree

Desiree provided childcare for our family for approximately six months, caring primarily for our young son. During her employment, she was dependable with attendance, maintained our child’s daily schedule, and assisted with routine caregiving responsibilities such as meals, naps, playtime, and age-appropriate activities. As our working relationship developed, there were occasions when additional follow-up or clarification was needed to ensure expectations were fully aligned, particularly regarding communication and household priorities. During her first several weeks with our family, Desiree demonstrated initiative in planning activities, preparing foods, and supporting our son’s developmental needs. She took a particular interest in helping him develop feeding skills, including encouraging self-feeding, chewing, and introducing age-appropriate foods. She also reliably transported him to and from his feeding therapy appointments and was engaged in supporting the goals established through therapy. As time went on, however, we observed a decrease in initiative in certain areas. While feeding remained a primary focus, there was less variety in meal preparation and fewer new foods introduced compared to earlier in her employment. Additionally, our employment relationship ended with limited notice, which created a challenging childcare transition for our family and required us to secure replacement care on short notice. We appreciate the care Desiree provided to our son and wish her success in her future endeavors.
