About Desiree

I have worked with children for over 15 years as a childcare provider, teacher, and counselor. My experience has been with children ranging from 0-17 years old, in a variety of settings. I am certified in CPR and first aid, and have ample child related training. I have a graduate degree in Elementary Education/Special Education from the University of Virginia. As a childcare provider, I have supported the development of infants to children 12 years of age. Here I led different activities, food preparation and provided child focused care. As a preschool teacher, I helped students work towards academic goals and social-emotional milestones. Lastly, I have served as a counselor for children 10-17 years old. In this role, I have worked with children with emotional, intellectual, and behavioral differences. My collective experiences have provided me with a great deal of ability.
