About Desiree

I have 13 years experience working with children ages 4-13 with Memphis City/Shelby County Schools. For 11 years, I worked as a Substitute Teacher. My duties have included managing Pre-Kindergarten through Sixth Grade classrooms, performing teaching and extracurricular duties, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for the children. For the past 2 years I have been working as a Special Education and Early Childhood Assistant at Newberry Elementary School. Additionally, I have experience as a summer nanny for a 1-year-old and a summer math tutor for an 8th grader. I truly believe that every individual in a child's life has an opportunity to make a positive impact! I strive to reflect that in all my dealings with them. Also, I am fully committed to providing for the health and safety of the children in my care. I am very comfortable with pets; spending time with your fur babies would be a huge plus for me!
