Hi! My name is Zoey and I am a UNCW student majoring in Education of Young Children (birth-kindergarten). I will graduate with my bachelor's in May 2024. I have worked with children since I was a teenager, babysitting, nannying, and doing after school transportation. Last school year I was the kindergarten assistant teacher at DC Virgo before stopping work to finish school. I would love the opportunity to provide early care and education to a family in Wilmington! My philosophy is very Reggio-Emilia oriented although I am also very interested in the Montessori approach. I believe children learn more if their education is based on their interests and functional life skills. My degree in early childhood gives me knowledge of children's development and age appropriate teaching practices.
