About Dennis

My name is Dennis, and I am a California Licensed Educational Psychologist with over 26 years of experience helping students with learning disabilities, dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, autism, reading, writing, math, attention, and executive functioning challenges. My approach is different from traditional tutoring. I specialize in quickly identifying the specific reason a student is struggling, then using targeted, research-based instruction to address that problem directly. From 2009 to 2013 in Southern California, I also provided many hours of one-on-one learning therapy and academic intervention for students with dyslexia, autism, learning disabilities, and related challenges. I help students build skills in reading, spelling, writing, math, study skills, and work completion. In some cases, students show noticeable improvement in as few as 12 to 24 focused lessons. My goal is to find the bottleneck, target it, and help students become more confident and successful learners.
