Prior to DeNae becoming my doula, she was my grandma’s caregiver for almost 4 years through the end of her life. She was truly an earth angel as my grandma’s needs changed from needing a companion to full time care. She helped my family and I through the hardest chapter of our lives as we navigated the decline of our matriarch. She was caring, she loved my grandma, she was her advocate, and she is truly the reason why her life was extended. She helped us through doctor’s appointments, hospital stays, hospice care, and even after she had passed. She was knowledgeable through every transition and helped us make decisions we wouldn’t have known how to without her. She will forever be a part of our family.
